Pinnacle has been delivering Training and Development Workshops to all sectors within the electrical industry for more than 16 years.

We work with large, multi-national organisations through to small and medium-sized, independently-run businesses.

Our training is based around people development using ‘soft skills’ techniques that focuses on business growth, margin gain and a differing and excellent customer proposition.

At Pinnacle, we are unique in that we offer training delivered by industry-led and experienced professionals, who possess in-depth knowledge and a unique insight of this particular market sector.

An important element in our partnering process is to gain an understanding of specific training needs before making any recommendations or designing bespoke training modules.

By creating a learning environment that respects the differing levels of experience, we enable individuals who undertake training programmes with us to understand the capabilities available to them. In doing so, we hope they will come away feeling valued, nurtured and supported in their personal self-development.

We deliver and design courses aimed at all levels within the electrical wholesaling industry from Sales & Trade Counter teams through Branch/Regional Management to Sales and Managing Director positions.

During 2018, we have trained over 1000 industry employees covering ‘Excelling at Customer Service, ‘Creating Impact on The Trade Counter’ and ‘Proactive Internal Sales’ for internal sales teams, ‘Cold Calling and Booking Appointments’ and ‘The Essential Skills of a Sales Professional’ for Sales Representatives, and for Branch Managers ‘Building, Leading & Managing High Performance Branch Teams’.

Over the year, we were approached to design specific, bespoke training courses for a number of clients to meet their particular business objectives. A management course based on ‘Empowerment and Trust’ delivered particular learning outcomes that gave Branch Manager’s unique insights and tools in order to manage individuals within their teams more effectively. This resulted in more productive use of time, more quality customer engagement and more advanced methods of encouraging teams to greater productivity – working smarter not just harder!

Additionally, we have now designed and delivered a unique and tailored Management Development Programme for talented individuals within a large regional wholesaler. The key objective of this programme is to provide a learning and development plan for those who wish to advance their careers into management. Rather than the typical “there you go – get on with it” approach, we worked closely with the client to establish a comprehensive 12-month training package that fitted exactly with the long-term growth ambitions of the business.

Alongside this, we also have a Graduate Recruitment Scheme which comprises of an 18-month programme of developing future sales and management personnel. So far, 80 Graduates have been recruited with many moving into sales account management and several becoming Branch Managers. These programmes are specifically designed to reflect the culture and ethos of the client.

During 2018, we have delivered 187 training days to over 2100 individuals, ranging from internal sales assistants, Assistant & Branch Managers, Regional Sales Managers and company Directors – all from within the electrical wholesaling and manufacturing industry.
