Supporting Statement
With over 80 years of heritage in the electrical industry, Marshall-Tufflex is proud to be recognised as a trusted and innovative brand within the cable management sector. Founded in 1942, the family-run business has grown to become a market leader, manufacturing and supplying cable management solutions to wholesalers across the UK and beyond. Our commitment to quality, technical innovation, outstanding customer service and industry-leading sustainability practices sets us apart in a competitive market.
Comprehensive and growing product range
Today, Marshall-Tufflex offers a comprehensive, industry-leading range of cable management products to meet the needs of every sector from education and healthcare to commercial, retail, and industrial environments. We are continuously expanding our product portfolio, regularly introducing new and innovative solutions to ensure we remain the go-to cable management supplier for our customers. Our range includes renowned PVC-U trunking, underfloor to desk products, and Basor metal cable management. We understand that every project has different requirements, which is why we offer solutions across PVC-U, aluminium, steel and glass reinforced polyester (GRP), giving electrical wholesalers a complete cable management solution from a single, trusted supplier.
Sustainability
Sustainability is central to our business strategy and brand identity. We believe that industry leadership comes with responsibility, which is why we have been at the forefront of sustainable manufacturing practices for over three decades. As early adopters of recycled content in our cable management systems, we began using recycled PVC-U in our manufacturing processes as far back as 1994. This process not only diverts waste from landfill but drastically reduces the environmental impact of our products without compromising quality or performance.
We are also actively influencing industry standards and driving change through our call for commercial PVC-U cable management systems installed in buildings to contain at least 50% recycled material by 2028. This target, led by our expert specifications team, is aimed at helping the wider construction industry make meaningful progress towards more sustainable building practices.
To further our sustainability efforts, we are progressing well with our journey to Net Zero through our Ecovadis and Planet Mark certification. Together, with Planet Mark, we have created a transition plan from targeted improvements across our operations, energy efficient upgrades, waste reduction initiatives, and supply chain optimisation, with a clear commitment to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2045.
Customer service
At the heart of Marshall-Tufflex is a customer-service ethos that has underpinned our success for decades. Through our network of Regional and Area Sales Managers, we work with around 1,600 electrical wholesale branches on a national level to help ensure the needs of their customers are met. The teams are supported by Specification Managers working directly with contractors on larger projects throughout the UK. We also work closely with consultants and specifiers at the design stages of projects to help drive demand and sales through our wholesale customer base.
We are proud to have built long-standing relationships with wholesalers, our bi-annual customer survey revealed that our customers’ main reason for choosing to deal with Marshall-Tufflex is our strong reputation and quality of products, with one customer commenting “Marshall-Tufflex offers high quality products at a competitive price point. We always say that you get what you pay for but with Marshall-Tufflex, I’d say you get a bit more.”
We are focused on making ourselves easy for our customers to deal with. An example of our work in this area was recognised by winning the EDATA Quality Award at the EDA Digitalisation Forum 2026, recognising the strength, accuracy and consistency of our product data and making it easier for wholesalers and customers to access reliable digital product information.
Another example is our online ordering system, which was upgraded in 2026 to simplify order placement, and to enable wholesalers to place orders for collection from our Manchester depot, just two hours later.
Customer Experience Centre
To further strengthen our customer relationships, we have recently opened a Customer Experience Centre at our Manchester site. This purpose-built facility showcases our full cable management offering and acts as a central hub for the electrical industry, providing a collaborative space for wholesalers, contractors, and consultants for a range of activities such as training sessions, regional meetings, lunch and learns.
The centre features a fully equipped conference room with two break-out rooms, vast product displays and a social and networking area with a dart board and pool table. The centre has already been utilised by key customers and companies.
The Manchester Customer Experience Centre enhances our ability to support customers beyond product supply, reinforcing our commitment to service excellence and partnerships.
Heritage
As a business, we remain grounded in our values, with a culture rooted in community and giving back. Our philanthropic approach is seen in our ongoing support of both local and national charities through regular donations and fundraising activities. In the last year, we have donated over £65,000 and supported local and national charities such as Demelza Children’s Hospice and Bowel Cancer UK.
From our beginnings in 1942 to our present-day status as a global exporter of British-manufactured cable management systems, Marshall-Tufflex continues to evolve with the industry – not only meeting expectations but setting new standards. Our brand is built on innovation, integrity, and environmental responsibility. These qualities, combined with a passion for quality and a focus on customer satisfaction, make us a brand that electrical wholesalers can trust. 2025 marked a record year of recognition for Marshall-Tufflex. At the Electrical Wholesaler Awards, we were shortlisted for Best Customer Service and crowned Best Brand, while also securing Manufacturer of the Year at the ECN Awards. Our commitment to sustainability was recognised with multiple accolades, including Most Sustainable Stand at CEF Live and Sustainability Champion at the 1066 Business Awards. Further success followed at the Sussex Business Awards, where we were shortlisted for Global Player and achieved 3rd place for Green Business and 2nd for Commitment to People, reinforcing our position as a forward-thinking and industry leader.
For these reasons, Marshall-Tufflex is proud to be a contender for Best Brand at the Electrical Wholesaler Awards.
