Founded in 1984, ROBUS has been operating for over 40 years supplying an extensive lighting range that covers both exterior and interior applications, spanning multiple categories and applications. In that time, we have identified contractor-led design and an unwavering commitment to quality as fundamental to our success.
To ensure we capture valuable contractor feedback, we pioneered an industry-leading initiative: each year, we arrange for hundreds of contractors and wholesalers from across the UK and Ireland to visit our dedicated Visitor Centre in Dublin. This hands-on experience allows us to directly engage with key stakeholders, gather meaningful insights, and strengthen our relationships, setting us apart in the industry. Our New Product Development team regularly holds focus groups with visiting customers for continuous learning about what matters most to electricians. This initiative has been so successful that this year we opened a second Visitor Centre in Liverpool to serve our UK customers on their doorstep.

To ensure consistently high quality, our development process adheres to rigorous ISO and LIA certification standards, guaranteeing superior performance and reliability in every stage of production. Our all-inclusive 2 year on-site warranty and our product reliability rate of over 99% means our customers can buy our products with confidence. Our purpose-built lab located on-site in Dublin includes an LIA Laboratory-certified photometric sphere that conducts full photometric analysis and reporting on products. Incoming product inspection is conducted weekly. Many of our emergency products have been ICEL-certified by the LIA, offering an additional mark of quality to our customers.
Through our contractor-focused strategy and dedication to quality, we consistently achieve successful innovation. Last year, we launched ZIIIGNA, a new custom linear lighting product category, developed through strong collaboration among our Lighting Design, Conversions, Technical, and New Product Development teams. In addition, this year we have expanded into the sports lighting market with STADION, a comprehensive solution encompassing lighting design and aftercare support, all implemented to enhance the efficiency of the electrician’s workday.
Our contractor focus continues to aftercare support with our sales team handling over 4,000 calls each month. They are supported by our WhatsApp channel, enabling real-time image and video sharing for faster solutions, and our contractor solution app, MyROBUS. MyROBUS has rapidly earned industry recognition, including a Top Product Award from Professional Electrician. The comprehensive app supports contractors with features like:

Our head office is located in Dublin, covering 100,000 sq. ft. It also operates as a distribution hub, a conversion centre, and a lighting design provider. We have distribution centres and offices in the UK, Australia, China, France, Benelux, South Africa, New Zealand, and the Middle East, servicing over 3,000 stockists and tens of thousands of installers. We are members of EMDA in Ireland, EDA, The Lighting Association, and LIA in the UK, and the Lighting Council in Australia.
